Total RememberTotal RememberTheme to Remember is a look back at the history of video games through its characters, structures, developers and processes.

In case you haven't suffered enough for years / decades to kill high-quality Lucasarts Star Wars games, let's get back to a game that just might not be true, so it was never made.

Before we continue, let's be clear: this was a vision, not something that was first developed and canceled. These are two very different things, one most obviously on a scale that is "actually possible" on a scale rather than the other.

And while ideas take place in game studios every day, I want to write about this especially because they are Lucasarts too star Wars and so close to the game I always dreamed of playing in high school and wondered every month why no one would just do it.

OK, so: From Lucasfilm Games to LucasArts, before the book they wrote, shared an anecdote yesterday narrated by former Lucasarts architect (and current Forza) Jon Knoles:

“Over the years, many of us have wanted to create a game where you can play like Han Solo, fly with the Falcon, hop on your ship and make deals, getting into trouble with the Empire or Corporate Sector Authority (from Brian Sale's novels by Brian Daley) . "

This is a combination of first-person action (illustrated by Lucasarts Black Forces / Jedi Knight they were more than manageable) and The X-WingStyle space flights have been my dream game, and I'm sure to many it sounds like the ultimate Lucasarts experience, but for many reasons it never came down.

It's a sad story, but given way The X-Wing Alliance holding them together (a horrible act of redemption good postings throughout the series), perhaps leaving this one in dreams is the best place for it.
